Real estate investing is such an old idea that it may be as old as the construction of property itself. Many created their wealth by being a business owner who then diversified into real estate investments.
We all know that there is a limit to the supply of building land around the world. Even with landfill opportunities, there is still a limit. With the population on this planet constantly on the rise, it is obvious that the increasing requirement for real estate is needed in all types. Investing in stock is not at all like investing in real estate. There are of course, property maintenance and legal fees that go along with real estate and these are usually small when you compare them to the possibility of what you can gain.
It is wise to seek help from professionals with both the legal and financial issues of buying real estate, before you invest in any property, especially if you are looking overseas. You may find the taxation a major implication and risks certainly go up when you are not physically there to oversee the process.
